Scottish Country Dancing Videos and Dance instruction books

Donations to the RSCDS Cornwall Branch Bursary Fund  will be greatly received for these items. The Bursary Fund supports dancers who attend courses and events for the benefit of teaching and enhancing dancing in Cornwall.
Below is a list of Scottish Country dancing videos and dance instruction books donated by past dancers who are keen to see these publications go to good use and continue to be loved and cherished by dancers.

RSCDS – Scotland….. Dancing Again!

The story of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society told through

27 of its dances. It is illustrated with extracts from the Society’s Archive and the text of the narration is provided in the enclosed booklet.

Written and presented by Dr Alastair MacFadyen.

Dances include: Its Just for Fun, 12 Coates crescent, The Ladies of Dunse, Round Reel of Eight, Hebridean Weaving Lilt, Mrs Stewart of Fasnacloich, Miss Milligan’s Strathspey

Set within a local ceilidh this video shows in detail and in close up, how to do each of the popular thirteen dances featured. There is also a section on steps and easy to follow written instructions and diagrams
